ACCELERATE
It Was All A Dream
Our story began long before our official launch. What started as a burden for people and a vision for a life-giving church became reality when Pastor Hollis and Pastor Elise Thomas launched One City Church in Nashville, Tennessee on January 28, 2024.
From day one, our heart has been simple and unwavering—to love God, love people, and make a difference.
As our church grew, so did our need for space. We’ve gathered in churches, schools, universities, hotels, and event centers—moving from place to place as God opened new doors and expanded our reach. Every season and every location became another reminder that the church isn’t a building; it’s a people following Jesus together.
Today, over 4000 people call One City home, with more than 2000 joining us in person every week to worship, grow, and serve. God has been faithful, and our community continues to grow as people from every walk of life discover purpose and experience life-changing transformation.
At One City, we exist to help people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference. We’re grateful for all God has done—but we’re just getting started. What comes next will be more than we could ask, think, or imagine.
WHAT WE SENSE GOD CALLING US TO Next
Moving From Portable to Permanent
We believe God is leading us to secure a 30,000+ square-foot property that will become the first permanent home of One City Church—a space designed to host worship services, expand our City Kidz environments, provide offices for our team, and create auxiliary spaces to support the growing ministries of our church. This facility will help us serve more people, strengthen families, and position One City for long-term impact in Nashville and beyond.
Launch the One City Cares Center
We sense God calling us to launch the One City Cares Center—an outreach hub dedicated to providing food, essential resources, and practical support to displaced and disadvantaged individuals and families across Greater Nashville. Housed within our future permanent facility, this center will allow us to serve our community throughout the week, expand our outreach capacity, and create a centralized space where hope, dignity, and the love of Jesus are offered to those who need it most.
WE ARE Also FEEL CALLED TO
Offer Transportation Assistance
We sense God leading us to purchase passenger vans that will allow us to run service shuttles to area colleges and underserved communities. These vans will remove transportation barriers, help students and families attend services, and create greater access to connection, care, and community—expanding our reach to those who might otherwise be unable to join us.
Move Into a Multisite Model
We sense God leading us to become one church in four locations by 2029. Every week, hundreds of people already drive 45 minutes or more to attend One City services, events, and small groups—showing a growing need for additional campuses. Launching future locations in Murfreesboro and Clarksville will allow us to bring the life-giving culture of One City closer to the communities that are already connected to our church.
